We decided to use the Estes method.The Estes Method, sometimes called the SB7 Spirit Box Experiment, is a form of said, extrasensory communication that was conceived in Estes Park, Colorado, deep within the haunted walls of the famous Stanley Hotel.

The SB7 (Spirit Box, some call a Frank's box) is said to transmits EVPs (Electronic Voice Phenomena) live in the white noise between scanning FM and AM frequencies.
So you have the SB7 scanning channels and sometimes spitting out a word or a snippet of sound. Plug in a pair of noise cancelling headphones and the wearer of the headphones is then blindfolded. The noise cancelling headphones make it so the person cannot hear anything in the room they're in... they just repeat aloud what they hear on the SB7 as it happens. The blindfold is used as a further sensory deprivation from the room. While this is all happening people in the room ask you questions that you can not hear. The blindfold also helps so you can't read questioner's lips or even know when a question is asked. The results are interesting. Is it spirit communication? Is it coincidence? Is it just the simplest form of pareidolia?
I sat back and observed while filming. Sam started... As soon as we got the first inkling of someone being raped things got heavy in this 3rd floor room that was originally used for storage. Sam spouted the words aloud, "you like it" and the voice app loudly finished his sentence without any hesitation... "turn over". You could literally hear everyone in the room gasp in complete horror. And things just kept going from there. The constant syncing up of questions and answers was very impressive. This was the beginning of a wild ride. For me, a new possible twist and motive to the age old story.

During our sessions we also run an app, Ghost Radar, that vocally spits out words at random times... like an ovulus does but without the mortgage payments that comes with one.
Some snicker at using an app as it's listed as "for entertainment purposes only". Well so is a Ouija board, so is it listed in the paperwork you sometimes sign with a said famous "psychic", etc... There are no rules. Use what works for you at the moment.

Now if this process is all thought to be accurate, then a whole
new side to the Borden story came out during this
investigation. Emotions were flying as we heard of repeated
brutal rapes for years, pimping out of women, a possible forced
abortion, all leading up to and possibly a new motive for the
murders. This was a constant theme that grew darker and
more intense throughout the night.
At the end of the night I decided I wanted in. I was blindfolded, audically inundated with static and bits of words. I asked the crowd to say something so I would know if I could hear them. Ok, I couldn't. Then I just started repeating what I heard. There was nothing magickal. No supernatural feeling. Just a sensory deprived middle man.

The final group communication attempt of the night. After a while they tapped me on the shoulder so I knew they were done. I guess things got extremely weird and dangerous with our interactions. As I took off my headphones and blindfold... a few people were literally crying, people yelling, people falling to the floor, some were rushing out of the room. Everything was just completely in disarray. I'm confused as I have no idea. So what the hell happened? You'll just have to watch the video. Pay attention, you'll be queued for a possible EVP.

We finished the night with the multiple guest requested obligatory hearse photos.
On a good time scale it was a complete 10 and the guests, (seasoned ghost hunters as well as newbies) were completely amazed and loved how they were completely active in the entire process. They were truly an amazing group of people from all over the country. I don't think we've ever been thanked so much... but thank you goes out to Lucky and Sam for the opportunity and life long memory.

The night before, a few guests were so freaked out that the spent they night sleeping in their car.
